Here's the trailer for The Lovely Bones, the new film from director Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings, King Kong). The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, and Michael Imperioli. The Lovely Bones opens December 11th.

This really looks great. And considering Paramount moved it from March to December, I think the studio also feels very confident in it (the move is clearly so it can get some big awards momentum).
On a side note, sorry about the hiatus everyone. But now i'm back and will continue to bring you your daily dose of movie news.
I read the book and am interested in the visual style the film is taking. The book was good/great and I am surprised by the quick turnout this is making to cinema but it deserves it. It was a great book, hopefully they don;t change the plot.
The school and corn field scenes of the film were shot a mile away from my house in October 2006 and I was sneaky (and lucky )enough to slip in past security and watch a good bit of the filming. The attention to detail was astounding, as is the budget for the production, so this film is going to have academy awards written all over it.
It'll probably nab nominations ranging from Best Picture and Supporting Actor (Stanley Tucci) to Best Visual Effects.
