Two new posters were unveiled for the film adaptation of the popular video game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The film is being directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina, Ben Kingsley, and Steve Toussaint. Prince of Persia is set for a May 28, 2010 release.

This movie hopefully won;t fall into the trap of vdieogame movie hell. Isn't Jerry Bruckheimer behind this? If so, I trust him to make this property realistic in it's environment. That director did make an engaging film, the action was good from my memory and smart drama.
Yeah Bruckheimer is producing it. I saw a making-of video and the sets looked very well done. But it really is going to come down to the writing. Did they give this thing a story that is actually interesting and compelling.
Prince of Persia is one of the better game franchises, so if they're going to get a video game to film adaptation correct, this should be the one (and if not, i'm crossing my fingers for BioShock).
Oh yeah, forgot he wants to do that, hmm. Hopefully this movie does not suck.
